Our Three Day Beaufort Cruise

Day 1 – Set Sail for Beaufort

Begin your journey by sailing east along the Neuse River into Adams Creek, then motor sail down the Intracoastal Waterway. Arrive in Beaufort with time to explore this charming coastal town. Dock overnight at the Beaufort Town Docks — steps away from the Mariners Museum, Blackbeard’s home, historic tours, local shops, live music, and fresh seafood restaurants. If time allows, cruise along Taylors Creek to spot the wild ponies of Shackleford Banks.

Day 2 – Cape Lookout Adventure

After breakfast, set sail for Cape Lookout (weather permitting). Spend the day sailing the Atlantic, picnicking on the beach, collecting seashells, and swimming in the clear waters. End the day watching a stunning sunset before returning to Beaufort Town Docks for your second overnight stay.

Day 3 – Return to New Bern

Sail back up the Neuse River toward New Bern. Relax on deck, soak up the sun, and enjoy the peaceful coastal views as your adventure winds down.

Important Notes:

  • Captain Don will not be aboard overnight.

  • Dates and schedules are flexible and weather-dependent.

  • Each trip is tailored to your group’s needs.

Meet

Captain Don Fretz

Don grew up chasing the wind, racing sailboats as a young man and later exploring every stretch of water he could find. After more than 40 years of life on the water, he’s happiest when sharing that love with others. Whether you’re learning the ropes on a sail, casting a line off the dock, or just soaking in a Carolina sunset, Don makes sure every guest feels welcome, safe, and at home by the river.
